The Day After

I often repeat that cars are not the most important on classic cars events. What really matters is the opportunity to meet friends and share passion with new enthusiasts. Unfortunately, the GPPPZ event was so intense that finding time for a chat with other participants was very hard.

Despite spending the whole days with Adam, my driver, we didn’t have time for almost any discussion not related to the route or timing. During the event, we made only one navigational mistake, and it was caused by starting a private discussion and losing focus on the itinerary.

Even after crossing the finish line, we were too tired to go into any longer conversation. That’s why it was very nice that Sunday was a much lighter day. The only tasks were to eat breakfast, pick up the awards and souvenirs and pack the cars for a way back home.

This was the time when we finally could enjoy the company of so many nice people that also took part in the event. With no more time pressure, and nice weather, finally we could share our thoughts about the event.
