Forza Summer Party
This is an automotive event, so we came here to see cars. Right? Not in this case. During the Summer Party, which preceded the main ForzaItalia.pl event, cars were only a decoration, and what really mattered, were the people who came in them. Who is the organizer? I’ll explain in the main event report. But don’t worry. There is no link to any Italian politics.
ForzaItalia.pl (Polish club of Italian car and culture enthusiasts) has been organizing meetings for over 10 years. The venue is always one of many picturesque palaces surrounding Warsaw. For the second time, the event followed a refreshed formula. The main part was taking place on Sunday, but an additional feature was added on Saturday evening: a less formal meeting for a smaller group of enthusiasts.
Upon arrival, guests were leaving their machines and rushing to greet their friends and get something tasty from the stands with specially prepared Italian dishes and delicacies. Discussions were very lively, and the variety of topics was vast. Many of the participants are already friends, or at least know each other from previous events, so the disputes go much deeper than just how to pick the right tyres for the classic or which carnauba wax lasts the longest.
One car however stole the attention of everyone. The Alfa Romeo SZ! That’s an extremely rare sight in this country, and most of the people seen it live for the first time. But the vehicle itself was not everything. Its condition is also astonishing. It’s even featured with all the gadgets and documents added during the purchase. From the bills, original certificates to dedicated suitcases and tools. The owners had a very tough time telling the story of the car to so many interested enthusiasts.
Parked Behind the Alfa was a beautifully preserved Maserati Ghibli. It also was focusing much attention because, as we all know, nothing attracts the petrolheads as well as an opened bonnet. There were obviously much more interesting machines, but I’ll focus on them in the article from the main event.
The new format of the ForzaItalia.pl meeting proved to be very good. The Saturday Summer Party gives everyone a great opportunity to enjoy the time with like-minded enthusiasts. It’s also great from the organizer perspective. During the main event, while running from one duty to the other, there is no time to really enjoy the company. Here, nothing could have stopped us from having great time with friends.
